ASRA eases housing shortage
Portland Road, built by ASRA Greater London Housing Association and Buxton Homes, provides a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, available for rent through local authority nomination.
A shortage of affordable housing in Croydon has been given a boost with the completion of eight stylish apartments on Portland Road, on what was the former site of a number of run down garages The development is within five minutes walk of shopping and transport facilities, including easy access to major bus routes and Norwood Junction BR which offers rail services to central London

Procurement partnership launched
Regional procurement consortium consisting of 13 organisations, which together manage over 92,000 homes across central England, is being established.
Portland Road provides a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, available for rent through local authority nomination.
Built by ASRA Greater London Housing Association and Buxton Homes, the apartments form part of a three storey building, complete with cycle shed for tenants, and the option of rented garage facilities and parking spaces.
A number of apartments come with generous balconies.
Local Christian charity, Victory Tracts, is also located on the ground floor.
Mukhtar Latif, LHA-ASRA group development director, said: "This is ASRA's first new development in the borough.
We will be steadily increasing our presence in Croydon and look forward to providing more affordable housing in the future.
"Across London and the Home Counties, we are partnering more and more with local authorities who recognise our development capability to build high quality homes for people struggling to get on the property ladder.".
