Ten new homes which are being sold by housing and regeneration group LHA-ASRA, form part of the regeneration of Warsop Vale, spearheaded by Meden Valley Making Places.

House hunters in Nottinghamshire can now buy the first affordable homes available for shared ownership, in the former mining village Warsop Vale The ten new homes, which are being sold by housing and regeneration group LHA-ASRA, form part of the massive regeneration of Warsop Vale, spearheaded by not-for-profit company Meden Valley Making Places

Now people are able to view and reserve the three-bedroom homes on Carter Lane and North Street in the village.

The design of the new properties is in keeping with the architectural elements of Victorian terraces in the area, and they meet the government's 'Echomes' benchmark for environmental sustainability, at the 'very good' level.

The homes have been refurbished to a very high standard, with modern fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, a spacious open plan living area and a family bathroom.

They are being offered on 50 % shared ownership with prices starting at GBP42,500.

Alongside the construction and refurbishment work, substantial environmental improvements are being undertaken to provide a more usable open space.

Robert Nettleton, Group Regeneration Director, LHA-ASRA, said: "These ten homes mark an important step in the transformation of Warsop Vale.

The homes are being offered for shared ownership to give everyone a chance to get on the property ladder.

I look forward to the first residents moving in and making the houses their own." Gary Kirk, Chief Executive of Meden Valley Making Places, said: "This is one of the key developments across the Meden Valley in which MVMP is involved.

We are very pleased to be working with LHA-ASRA in providing a range of properties to meet people's needs.

"We believe the new development will prove equally attractive to existing residents and people from outside the immediate area, helping to create a thriving, diverse and sustainable new community with an excellent choice and mix of housing." Warsop Vale is situated between Church Warsop and Shirebrook.

Located immediately alongside the former Warsop colliery, the village consists of 212 owner-occupied and private sector rented properties, many in a poor state of repair.

To reserve one of the new properties or for more information call LHA Sales and Marketing Manager, Amy Mackay on 07808 060686.
