LHA-ASRA Housing Coproration Partnership
status
LHA-ASRA has been re-awarded partnership status by the Housing Corporation, meaning that it is eligible to bid for cash to build new homes in the East Midlands and South East.
The announcement comes as the Government announced it will be investing GBP8billion over the next three years in affordable and social housing, which is a 50% increase on current spending The Group is one of 108 organisations across the country, which have been selected to deliver the Housing Corporation's affordable housing programme and is one of 70 to have partnership status renewed

Procurement partnership launched
Regional procurement consortium consisting of 13 organisations, which together manage over 92,000 homes across central England, is being established.
Preferred partnership status means the organisation can enter into a bidding round for homes to be built in 2008-11.
Robert Nettleton, Group Regeneration Director, said: "This announcement provides us with the platform to build more affordable homes to meet the ever increasing need".
"The fact that the Housing Corporation has decided to re-award LHA-ASRA partnership status reflects the fact that we have consistently exceeded the development targets we have been set".
Last year the group captured GBP28m of Social Housing Grant - GBP3.8m more than the target of GBP24.2m - and built 455 new homes.
The group's target for the year was 232 homes.
LHA completed 223 of the new homes in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire, while ASRA completed 232 in and around Greater London and the South East.
