Listed Property Owners Club has recently launched a completely new area on their website
Listed Property Owners Club [LPOC] often receive request's from members who are having difficulties selling their listed buildings asking for help In the past LPOC has run a small article in the club news section of their magazine Listed Heritage, but are now able to offer both members and non members the opportunity to include their property details on the website (currently free of charge)

Alterations.
When alterations are made to a listed building without the relevant Listed Building Consents (similar to planning permission), it doesn't matter how long ago the alterations were made, or who made them - it is the current owners responsibility! Although the new owner cannot be prosecuted for someone else's work they can be forced to put it right at their own cost.
LPOC are able to advise on this and also recommend indemnity insurance to protect new owners.
VAT.
Many owners are also unaware of the VAT savings that are available for some works to Listed Buildings, the club has been able to save some members thousands of pounds in VAT alone.
