Lifting Solutions Wins Gold For Britain
Lifting Solutions of Barnsley was a major supplier of steel wire rope to the Olympic Games for its opening and closing ceremony - watched by millions if not billions of people around the globe.
The Creative Steel Solutions range includes (but is not restricted to) balustrades, Juliet balconies, and other aesthetic steelwork projects - in a range of finishes including stainless steel to complement existing wire rope swaged products - for new developments and refurbishments in particular.
Jonathan Moorhouse, Lifting Solutions' managing director, explains: "We were sure that there was a niche in the market as it was clear that these products were quite different from the more mainstream engineering products and services we are involved in.
The sales and marketing process for architectural products is slightly different to that of Lifting Solutions' core business, as is the actual fabrication process.
Hence it seemed a natural move to split this off as a separate business and specialise in architectural products under the new company name of Creative Steel Solutions.
"The results have been extremely encouraging and Creative Steel Solutions goes from strength to strength.
We are looking at further increasing the order book and will be looking to create some additional jobs to cope with demand in the New Year".
Lifting Solutions launched a swaged products range a couple of years ago to meet the increasing demand by architects, specifiers, planners, building contractors, quantity surveyors and even private individuals.
Creative Steel Solutions was born from that, and its products are marketed to hotels, shopping malls, marinas, and main building contractors - as well as to any decision makers, like planning departments for example, with an influence over the buying process for architectural steel products.
