Rising star secures construction award
An Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Linford Group has secured a top training award for outstanding achievement and high levels of technical and practical skills.
A rising star at Lichfield based building company Linford Group, has secured a top training award for outstanding achievement and high levels of technical and practical skills Cheryl Billingham, Linford Group's newest Assistant Quantity Surveyor, has been awarded the Higher National Certificate in Construction prize at the Burton College Annual Awards 2005/2006, after graduating top of her class with distinctions

Cheryl, from Sutton Coldfield, began working at Linford with David Linford (Chairman) and Cheryl Hall (company secretary) six years ago in administration and, after seeing the opportunities available in construction, she decided to pursue a career as a trainee Quantity Surveyor".
"Training Manager at Linford, Jackie Babington, said: "Trainees at Linford Group receive a tailored plan which outlines the areas of instruction, coaching and experience needed, as well as vital hands-on experience whilst completing individual studies".
Cheryl said: "The HNC was made up of 12 coursework and exam based modules and work experience placements.
Working for Linford allowed me to learn my profession on new-build, restoration and development projects with one of the longest established construction businesses in the UK.
"The support I have received from everyone at Linford has been invaluable and I'm delighted to have won this award.".
