Liquid Plastics, manufacturer of high performance coatings for hygienic environments, will preview its new Silver Ion literature on stand B20 at this year's Healthcare Estates.

The complete range of Silver Ion Coatings are suitable for use on internal walls and ceilings wherever a hygienic environment is required "As healthcare establishments face the threat of hospital acquired infections such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile, our Silver Ion Coatings can provide an extra line of defence," comments John Moore, Liquid Plastics Business Development Manager for Hygiene

"With the walls and ceiling fully protected against the growth of micro-organisms, the facility is one step closer to becoming a cleaner, safer environment, and when applied by a member of our Approved Hygiene Contractor Programme we can ensure that a superior application is achieved".

Liquid Plastics' Hygiene Coatings are unique because they incorporate Silver Ion technology that begins the biocidal action as soon as the micro-organism lands on the surface, and continues to prevent the growth of bacteria, mould and yeasts for at least 10 years.

They are also highly elastomeric, can withstand harsh cleaning regimes, and are impact resistant - crucial in busy healthcare environments where walls can get knocked and traditional coatings may crack or flake.

In addition, Liquid Plastics' Approved Hygiene Contractors are all fully trained in the application of the products, to provide added peace of mind for the client.

During the show Liquid Plastics will also exhibit its complete range of roof systems, including seamless Decothane waterproof membranes, BBA approved Cold Fusion Bonded Built-Up Roofing Systems, and its most recent addition - Green Roofs.
