Livecyte construction monitoring from your desk

A LiveCyte product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 22, 2009

Livecyte provides live monitoring and surveillance system for construction sites that improves safety and security as well as providing a vital sales tool.

Livecyte consists of one or more cameras on site which are linked via IP (Internet Protocol) to remote servers.

The camera requires power and a broadband connection and feeds live pictures from the site to monitor progress without the need for site visits.

The Livecyte system provides a unique and highly beneficial service to planning consultants, the construction team, property agents and clients alike.

In collaboration with development partners Adeptise, Redbrick Studios and national building contractor Rok, Livecyte enables users to view images on their computer desktop, set up periodic reports via an integrated calendar application and to share real-time progress or feeds with others.

Data and images can be accessed remotely via the specially-developed interface.

Colin Morris, Redbrick's Managing Director, said: "Livecyte provides remote surveillance using live images direct from the construction site 24 hours a day from our website with no software or data storage requirements on the client's computer".

With customers who include Davis Langdon, Rok plc, Development Securities plc and a host of other well-known construction industry players, the reliability and class-leading performance of the Livecyte system has been clearly demonstrated.
