Raising the roof on excellence.
Some of the biggest names in the construction industry declared themselves bowled over by Heathrow Airport's new Terminal Five building after being invited there by London Excellence.
Representatives from more than 20 firms, who are members of London Excellence's Property and Construction Special Interest Group, met for a guided tour of the latest addition to the airport, which is due to open in March 2008 After a 75 minute inspection of the site, they took part in a seminar which explored the issue of how contractors and customers can balance the challenge of tendering on quality and procuring on price

The Group comprises members of London Excellence and the British Quality Foundation in the property and construction sector and SME managers engaged through the DTI-funded Partnerships in Innovation programme run by London Excellence.
London Excellence is the not-for-profit partner of the UK Excellence Federation, which aims to drive up business standards in the capital.
