Cable Avoiding Tool calibration safety concerns
Knowledge and experience means that Lord Technical Utilities is ideally placed to understand how critical small variances can be when attempting to locate buried utilities.
The Subsite range features the 250 and 900 series of locators and is the UK's first Cable Avoidance system which does not require an annual calibration under normal operating conditions while at the same time delivering best-in-class accuracy and reliability.
In extensive independent tests around the UK, the Subsite 250R has outperformed market leading locators and has consistently found more "difficult to locate" cables such as street lighting and small communication cables.
The 250 series operate on the industry standard, Power, Radio and 33kHz ensuring that it can be used with existing 33kHz systems.
The 250T transmitter is one of the smallest yet most powerful in its class and is compatible with existing locators.
The 900 series is currently one the best selling systems in the US.
The 900 series receiver can be configured to be as simple or as complex as the user requires.
All 900 series receivers are available with "depth in Power" mode and a further 18 optional frequencies can be added for greater versatility or if the user requires compatibility with existing transmitters.
The 900 series transmitters offer 3 or 5 watt power outputs and the 970T has built-in multimeter functions.
All Subsite equipment uses simplified digital controls which are arranged for easy operation.
A touchpad replaces dials and triggers for increased ease-of-use and considerably improved reliability.
With no annual calibration under normal operating conditions required, the cost of ownership is significantly reduced.
"This is the beginning of an excellent distribution agreement and promises a tremendous long term business opportunity, both for LTU and The Charles Machine Works," said Greg Wolfe, CMW market development specialist.
"LTU's expertise in the locating market will help ensure the success of this partnership.".
