The Maine Place, a major new regeneration development from Lowry Homes Plc, occupying the site of Manchester City FC's former Maine Road stadium, has kicked off to a flying sales performance.

Lowry Homes reports that since the sales office opened in December 59 three and four bedroom new homes have been reserved, which represents the complete construction allocation for this year! Speaking of the development's instant sales success Becky Leighton, Lowry Homes' Sales and Marketing Director said: "We're delighted that there has been such a positive response to our new homes from local people" "12 of the reservations represent assisted purchase schemes, administered by Plumlife through English Partnerships, who will eventually make it possible for around 50 local purchasers to benefit from their assistance"

Lowry Homes are soon to release a variety of one and two bedroom apartments, with more houses to follow later.

Overall the development comprises 440 new homes of advanced design, ranging in size from one bedroom apartments to four bedroom properties, with local residents having been given priority to purchase during the initial sales period.

Residents at The Maine Place will enjoy the benefits of not only innovative housing, designed with excellent "green" credentials, but also new community facilities, including a new school which will merge St Edward's RC School with Bishop Bilsborrow RC Primary.

It is also hoped to deliver a new health centre.
