Orders can be delivered to building sites, or collected from its' depot, usually within 24 hours of ordering via its website.

"So many people buy online now, and this trend is expected to rise with £18.5 billion per year forecast to be spent online by 2010*1," explains Robin Somerville, Strategic Development Director of Long and Somerville, "We wanted to offer builders and tradesmen the opportunity, and convenience, to order building supplies when it suits them from a professional merchant that takes industry and product knowledge seriously".

The website offers a shopping cart experience where anything from manhole covers to insulation, and wheel barrows to natural stone can be purchased online and delivered.

Online customers can also view and print copy invoices, check the amount of rebate earned as a member of the loyalty programme and even access proof of delivery reports complete with signatures.
