Floor building regs with LSFS Strucmet systems
Leading light steel frame specialists LSFS has developed the lightweight Strucmet system that provides a 'floorless' performance every time.
Through the considered off-site design and manufacture of the panels under controlled factory conditions, the pre-engineered infill panel system enabled LSFS to easily achieve the desired u-values.
As a design feature, LSFS supplied a further 2000m of the Stucmet panels, complete with insulation and brick tie channels for the later installation of a brick slip facade material.
The appointment of LSFS to design, manufacturer and install the infill panels not only helped to significantly reduce the amount of trade interfacing on site but also gave main contractor The Durkan Group and client, the Metropolitan Housing Trust, the reassurance of having all necessary guarantees and warranties with one supplier.
All of the systems available as part of the Strucmet range of light steel solutions are designed and manufactured by LSFS' sister company Light Steel Frame Manufacturing (LSFM), at the company's 45,000sqft purpose built factory in Wrexham.
The fully finished products complete with insulation, internal and external finishes, fixings and cladding as required, are then delivered directly to sites across the UK for installation by LSFS.
