Major New Programme On Off-Site Production
CIRIA are to lead a major programme on off-site production.
LSFM's extensive Strucmet product range, which includes lightweight steel infill panels for both internal and external walls that can be finished in a variety of treatments, steel floor joists, structural lattice systems and cladding systems, is value-engineered using that latest CAD CAM design software.
One of LSFM's most innovative offerings is the stand-alone structural system Strucmet Elite.
Suitable for applications up to six storeys high, the system is ideally suited for all residential building types including private bespoke housing, key worker, shared ownership and affordable accommodation, from single storey to medium rise apartment blocks.
When integrated with Strucmet Living, LSFM in conjunction with sister company Elements can also offer a fully fitted out pod, which can be manufactured to the client's unique specification to include kitchens, bathrooms, cloakrooms and shower rooms.
Already proving popular with developers and architects alike, this innovative system has recently been specified for use on a six storey residential department in Liverpool.
As the manufacture and assembly of the products in LSFM's innovative Strucmet range is monitored under controlled factory conditions, full compliance with specific thermal, acoustic and fire regulations can be accurately achieved during the design stage, ensuring significant savings in terms of site-time and labour costs.
A new website containing detailed information about both LSFS and the newly created LSFM has now been launched.
