Luxeon III, An 80-Lumen Long-Life LED
Lumileds' Luxeon family allows designers to achieve desired light output with fewer LEDs than the company's original 25-lumen product, simplify engineering and manufacturing.
Imre Pesti, general director of Budapest based Raymax said: "We required a lighting solution that offered a lower power requirement than traditional lighting sources so that we could eliminate forced cooling and noise.
Lumileds' Luxeon LEDs combine the brightness of conventional lighting with the small footprint, long life and other advantages of LEDs.
"The Luxeon last the fixture's lifetime so there is no requirement for specialist disassembly or cleaning, as well as the need for fans to remove dust as there are no openings on the body of the fixture.

A Point Well Made With Luxeon LEDs
The latest LED technology from Lumileds has been used to light Ireland's new landmark, the Dublin Spire, in an innovative combination of light, design and movement.
These benefits become more apparent when the multiple number of devices usually used in a show are taken into account.
In a usual setup there are four, eight, sixteen or more MovingLED fixtures controlled from a central location through the industry standard DMX512 protocol." The MovingLED will be used to flood shows with dramatic, colour-changing light effects with each fixture utilising 90 Luxeons in blue, green, amber and red to create an extremely fast and flexible colour-changing solution.
Together with the long-life and robust nature of Luxeon, additional benefits include the low weight and therefore easy transportation of the new MovingLED essential for the show lighting industry.
The cool light beam of Luxeon ensures that on stage there is less temperature development, while the low voltage of Luxeon also brings increased electrical security.
Frank Harder, sales manager central Europe for Lumileds, said: "The power, small size and long life of Luxeon LEDs is making them increasingly attractive to lighting designers and manufacturers alike.
Advanced engineering has enabled Lumileds to deliver LEDs that are up to 60 times brighter than competitive devices, generating enough light output to be used in follow spots, chase lights, pinspots, fresnels, border lights, in-floor fixtures, strobe lights, and wallwashing fixtures." Raymax, established in 2001 and located near Budapest, Hungary, specialises in producing intelligent lights and other equipment for the entertainment industry.
The MovingLED is available directly from Raymax.
