Industry's First Warm White LED
Lumileds have receives an Innovation Award from Wall Street Journal for industry's first Warm White LED. Now the incandescent-style glow removes barriers to LED adoption in general lighting.
The lighting is key to the successful presentation and atmosphere of our shops, but for this store we needed something extra special.
"We wanted to reflect the uniqueness of the building, while having the impact to attract customers into the store.
LightLed has created the ideal solution, ensuring our jewellery is beautifully presented." In total over 4,000 Luxeon I and 1,000 Luxeon III LEDs have been used within the store, for the general lighting, specific jewellery lighting, presentation tables, stairs and washrooms.
The low energy requirements of Luxeon have resulted in only 5kw of energy being used for the entire lighting system.
The small size and long life of Luxeon LEDs means they can be built into fixtures and fittings, allowing Estrella Salietti to use a combination of colours, including red and amber, and varying light intensity to enhance the jewellery displays without overpowering them.
The result is a lighting solution that focuses on the jewellery cabinets and products, without spreading the light on the floor.
Sergio Campoy, ODECO Group President added: "This type of lighting system has never before been possible.
For Rabat we created a solution that truly differentiates the shop through the use of dynamic light effects.
This is the first retail project using only Luxeon, and we are confident that the success of this - and the energy and maintenance savings - will attract a growing number of customers in this market." Keith Scott, market development manager at Lumileds, said: "The use of Luxeon throughout this Rabat store demonstrates the creativity that can be brought to designing unique and signature lighting solutions.
By working with the designers, LightLed has created compelling lighting effects and demonstrated the benefits of lighting with Luxeon.".
