Lutron offers energy and light control system

A Lutron product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Dec 2, 2009

Lutron Electronics launches total light management solution Quantum, to minimise energy consumption and electric light used within commercial buildings.

Quantum can reduce energy costs by up to 60 per cent, is fully scaleable and can control light levels and usage across multiple floors, buildings and campuses in corporate, industrial and public sector facilities.

Quantum consists of a range of products from the Lutron energy suite that enables users to configure, control and monitor all electric and daylight within a building.

These products include Hyperion solar adaptive shading which automatically adjusts and repositions Lutron Sivoia QS window shades based on the sun's position throughout the day to effectively manage daylight within a commercial space.

Grafik Eye QS is also part of the energy suite that can be controlled by Quantum.

Lutron's Grafik Eye QS is a preset light and shade control system, available with wireless technology.

Lutron's Energi Savr Node QS controls light by connecting occupancy sensors, daylight sensors and wall stations to digitally addressable light interface (DALI) ballasts.

Additional Energi Savr Node QS modules can be linked together to allow integrated control of several floors.

The system can be linked to Lutron's Quantum solution for whole building light management.

Quantum also includes Green Glance, a display software package which provides real-time and historic reporting on energy savings within a building.

Businesses can use Green Glance as part of corporate social responsibility programmes.

The flexibility of Quantum helps to increase employee productivity.

Quantum's shade control eliminates harsh sun glare and heat, making employees more productive and comfortable.

Light level tuning, scene and zone controls, pre-programmed light scenes, and the ability to raise and lower the brightness of individual light zones via a button, allow users to have complete control over working environments.
