Sustainable building blocks lead the way
Twelve months after its launch Masterblock has had an excellent response to Enviroblock - a new generation of dense and lightweight sustainable blocks.
Masterblock was the first aggregate building block company to launch a sustainable block with independently verified green credentials - which achieved an A rating for its traditional and cavity wall specification Masterblock developed the range of Lightweight and Dense 440x215x100mm blocks, which is certified by BRE Certification using the Environmental Profiles scheme for environmental performance

Enviroblock was created as a result of the growing demand from both public and private sector clients for sustainable building products.
This follows the Government's White Paper on Sustainability, Production and Consumption in 2003 and the Sustainable Development Commission's recommendation that "Every single new home to be built in the UK should meet the highest standards of sustainability in design and construction".
