Scholarships to construction MBA Manchester
Manchester Business School Worldwide has launched the competition for scholarships to the School's MBA for Construction Executives.
"I am really looking forward to starting the MBA for Construction Executives at MBS Worldwide as it is an MBA that's very well suited to me".
"I believe it will develop my strategic thinking and decision making skills, to address the challenges of the wider construction business environment," says Low.
The scholarship, worth over GBP7,000, was awarded by MBS Worldwide after a competition in which applicants were required to submit a paper based on the question: 'How would you ensure the Olympics are delivered on time and on programme'.
Available exclusively to chartered members, the scholarship was a joint venture between RICS (the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), and Manchester Business School.
MBS academics and representatives of the RICS Practice Department assessed the competition entries.
Announcing the winner, Dr Eunice Maytorena Sanchez PhD, MBA programme director, Manchester Business School said: "The standard of entries was very high but it was a unanimous decision that the scholarship should go to James Low".
The multi-disciplinary three-year MBA course offers collaboration with other professions, such as engineers, architects and project managers.
Its format of self-study and face-to-face workshops mean students can study for this MBA programme without putting their careers on hold and apply what they learn immediately in their working life.
In October, Manchester Business School announced that its blended learning MBA for Construction Executives had been awarded accreditation by RICS.
The accreditation indicates a high quality standard in professional education in the construction industry.
