Energy efficiency drive backed by local MP
Facilities for UK's first multi-measure energy efficiency installation company, the Mark Group, opened in Glasgow.
Gathering over 70% of the heat energy it needs from the surrounding air, the Ecodan system is significantly more efficient at providing heating and hot water than modern condensing gas boilers - emitting 30% less CO2 than the conventional system.
With the average UK household producing over 4 tonnes of CO2 per year - with space and water heating accounting for over 70% of this - the Ecodan boiler can make a significant contribution to reducing a home's carbon emissions.
Quieter and smaller than previous air source heat pump boilers and with an typical annual operating efficiency of 350%, the Ecodan is easy to install, requiring only in/out water and single phase electrical connection.
