Wet room construction revolutionised with new Shower Tray Underlay from Marmox

The new Shower Tray Underlay from Marmox Composites is set to revolutionise bathroom design and build for specifiers and contractors, providing a low cost, easily installed and completely waterproof solution for wet room construction The Marmox Shower Tray Underlay now gives contractors the means for constructing wet rooms with confidence - whereas previously they might have preferred to install a conventional shower tray because it presented a faster, cheaper and less risky option

Architects and consultants specifying the Tray on behalf of clients, can be confident the quality of the wet room construction is not solely dependent on the contractor.

The new Marmox Shower Tray Underlay is completely waterproof (made of a tough, but lightweight, polymeric cement, reinforced with alkaline resistant glass mesh) and is designed so clients can specify their own design tile finish.

The Trays can be bought individually or by the pallet load; trade prices for pallet quantities are extremely attractive.

The Shower Tray Underlay forms a floor-level, barrier-free base, so a surface finish of tiles can be laid directly on it - both top and bottom faces have a structured finish, compatible with most tile adhesives.

The Tray has a built-in, two percent minimum, slope to the drain and is designed to accept standard fitting shower drains, such as Dallmer or McAlpine.

The Marmox Shower Tray Underlay is ideal for wet rooms or showers in confined locations and it can easily be cut to fit the shower area, or even to produce an irregular or circular shower base.

Unlike some other trays, the Shower Tray Underlay is also sufficiently robust to allow mosaic tiles or waterproof sheeting to be laid on it without the risk of compression because of point loading.

Marmox Composites is planning to appoint a number of UK stockists and distributors to sell the Shower Tray Underlay and interested parties should contact Ian Bunch at Marmox Composites.
