Lavendon Skylift division uses Masternaut Three X
Skylift, Lavendon Group's Vehicle Mount Division, is now using Masternaut Three X's web-based vehicle tracking and mobile resource management systems across its depot network.
The system allows Skylift to track any vehicle at any time, therefore helping to maintain high levels of customer service as well as improve the management of Skylift's entire fleet of truck and van mounted platforms.
Skylift will also benefit from the use of 'GreenerFleet', Masternaut Three X's carbon footprint management tool that actively reduces CO2 emissions, as well as lowering fuel usage.
Martin Port, Masternaut Three X Managing Director commented: "Skylift's use of Masternaut Three X technology will give Skylift the big picture it needs to gain the control and savings it requires as well as enabling the organisation to optimise its assets to the full".
"We are looking forward to seeing the results of the implementation, which will show the evolution of Skylift into a greener and even more responsive organisation".
The web-based service will play an important part in Skylift's ongoing TechX programme; a requirement of all Lavendon Access Services depots that sets a new 'best practice' standard in a number of key areas, including engineering and equipment maintenance, environmental management, procurement, housekeeping and Health and Safety.
Each depot has adopted the 5S principles commonly used in the automotive industry.
These provide an effective framework that improves productivity, reduces Health and Safety risks, improves quality of service, reduces duplication of work and has resulted in employees demonstrating considerable pride in their workplace.
Skylift is also implementing Masternaut Three X's VisuLive at its National Customer Centre based in Coventry.
This is a powerful web-based application that provides visual information displayed on large screens in the depot and individual monitors, allowing busy managers and team members to oversee their entire business from one place.
Lavendon Group is the European leader in powered access, including boom and scissor lifts, and van and truck mounted platforms.
Skylift's range of truck and van mounted platforms allow people to work safely at heights of up to 100m.
Being vehicle-mounted, they can get to and from the site quickly, and are ready for use in minutes after arrival.
These platforms are popular with local authorities, facilities managers, film and broadcasting, telecommunications and maintenance contractors.
