Porcelain tiles were fitted by Stone and Ceramic , London onto the pool's walls and floors using KERAQUICK and LATEX PLUS.
KERAQUICK is a fast setting polymer modified flexible adhesive to classification C2FT for fixing all types of ceramic, porcelain and glass tiles and mosaics.
It was mixed with LATEX PLUS flexible additive for increased flexibility.
Due to its characteristics KERAQUICK enabled grouting to take place after 2-3 hours.
ULTRACOLOR fast setting and drying polymer modified cement based grout, was used for all the grouting situations - in the pool itself, surrounding areas and shower rooms.
ULTRACOLOR is used to grout joints between 2-20mm.
It has recently been upgraded and replaced by ULTRACOLOR PLUS - with added anti-mould BioBlock and water-repellent DropEffect technologies, and is available in a range of 26 colours.
Pool surround walls and feature walls were decorated with blue mosaics, along with a similar material in the spas and showers areas.
MAPEGRIP D2 water resistant ready-to-use paste adhesive was used in wall areas - it is flexible, high grab and non-slip.
ULTRAPLAN ECO self smoothing, low TVOC levelling compound was used to prepare the substrates in pool surround areas and shower rooms - to ensure a smooth surface.
ADESILEX P9 polymer modified and enhanced powder adhesive was utilised to fix the 300x300mm porcelain tiles to floor areas. Request a free brochure from Mapei UK ...
