Mapefront Project and Parkgate House

Parkgate House project, nominated for a Standard of Renovation Award is an excellent example of how Mapei coloured render has been used to enhance a building's character.

Mapei, the world's largest manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and general building products is a specialist in high performance systems and solutions for all applications Mapei has recently launched Mapefront Project, a single coat coloured render for fine-scrape, crushed droplet finish, which provides water tightness, transpirability, plus an attractive finish when applied on brickwork, concrete, thermal ceramic blocks or rough cast cement

A mixture of hydraulic binders, fine grain aggregates, colour pigments and special additives combine to make this versatile product, which is already proving a great success.

Mapefront Project can be used in restoring facades cladded with traditional render in poor condition and is ideal for rendering on new buildings, as recently demonstrated in the Parkgate House project.

Throughout this project the rendering, carried out by Abel Plastering of Liverpool, used approximately 700m2 of Mapefront Project in 'Blanco' - half on the new build extension, and half onto the insulated cladding to the existing building.

Along with 350m2 of Mapetherm AR1, a polymer modified adhesive / basecoat for internal/external wall insulation systems, was used together with mechanical fixing on the Kingspan Phenolic insulation system.

The Parkgate House project, nominated by Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council for a Standard of Renovation Award is an excellent example of how Mapei coloured render has been used to enhance a building's character.

This was especially important in the case of Parkgate House, as the project is situated in a conservation area and the use of Mapefront Project allowed the building to retain its traditional charm and stay true to its surroundings. Request a free brochure from Mapei UK ...
