Its quality system was awarded ISO 9001 Certification in 1995, followed by ISO 14001 Certification for its Environmental management System in 1998, EMAS Registration in 1999, and the OHSAS 18001 Certification in 2000.
Certification is the validation of Mapei's commitment to effective, transparent operating systems which confirm to the most comprehensive standards.
Mapei has developed an extensive range of 'ECO Friendly' adhesives, a range that has already increased with the launch of ECO VS90 and ECO Tack in mid-2006.
ULTRABOND ECO V4SP.
A solvent-free acrylic adhesive with extended open time, with practically zero emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC).
For the internal bonding of homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl sheet and tile, polyolefin flooring, PVC backed carpet, rubber flooring with smooth back.
Coverage: Approx 50m per 16kg tub.
ULTRABOND ECO FIX.
A solvent-free acrylic-based adhesive in water dispersion with permanent tack and practically zero emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
For the non-permanent fixing of carpet and PVC tiles, also carpet underlays, and as a permanent adhesive when laid into wet.
Suitable for linoleum.
Coverage: Approx 75m per 10kg tub.
ULTRABOND ECO 350.
A solvent-free synthetic polymer-based adhesive in water dispersion, with practically zero emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
For internal bonding of homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl sheet and tile, semi-flexible vinyl tile and polyolefin based floor coverings.
Coverage: Approx 50m per 19kg tub.
ULTRABOND ECO 185.
A synthetic polymer based adhesive in water dispersion with practically no VOC's, for textile floor coverings.
Coverage: 50m per 16kg tub.
ADESILEX VS45.
A truly multi-purpose acrylic adhesive in water dispersion in an easily trowellable paste.
For internal bonding of homogenenous and heterogeneous vinyl sheet and tile, semi-flexible vinyl and PVC tile, polyurethane, polyester and PVC backed carpets, woven secondary and needlepunch carpets, rubber tile and sheet.
Coverage: 40m per 12kg.
ULTRABOND P990 1K.
An innovative ready-to-use polyurethane one-component, solvent-free, elastic adhesive.
Suitable for the bonding of all types and sizes of wooden and laminate flooring.
Also for the installation of interior and exterior synthetic turf.
Coverage: 0.8-1.0 kg/m ADESILEX G19.
2-component epoxy-polyurethane adhesive suitable for interior and exterior bonding of rubber and PVC flooring.
Coverage: 20m per 10kg.
ADESILEX G20.
2-component epoxy-polyurethane adhesive suitable for interior and exterior bonding of rubber and PVC flooring.
Coverage: 30m per 10kg.
ULTRABOND ECO TACK.
A solvent-free non staining acrylic based adhesive designed to provide a permanently tacky film when dry, to allow the removal and replacement of carpet tiles when required.
It can be used for: bonding carpet tiles backed with PVC, polypropylene, fibre backed bitumen and other polymer backings, onto concrete, cementitious screeds, raised access floor panels, asphalt, terrazzo, chipboard, plywood, smoothing compounds, and some exiting floorcoverings.
It is also suitable for use of underfloor heating systems.
Available in rectangular buckets that allow application by roller, and provide a coverage of approx.
180-200 m per 15kg - a very cost effective tackifier.
ULTRABOND ECO VS90.
A universal high temperature solvent-free, non-staining acrylic adhesive in water dispersion, formulated in an easily trowellable paste, with very low emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
It is non-flammable and contains no toxic substances; it can therefore be stored without special precautions and repent no health hazard during use.
ECO VS90 is suitable for: the interior installation of homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl sheet and tile, semi-flexible vinyl and PVC tiles, polyurethane, polyester and PVC backed carpets, woven, secondary backed and needlepunch carpets, rubber tile and sheet - onto all normal absorbent and moisture stable substrates used in construction.
