Mapei and Resin Flooring
Mapei have developed a range of epoxy, polyurethane and cementitious flooring systems - introducing colour to the commercial and industrial workplace.

In order to improve the quality of new flooring, increase the mechanical strength and resistance to chemicals from existing flooring, and to renovate degraded floors, Mapei have developed a range of epoxy, polyurethane and cementitious flooring Systems through their own research.
These Systems allow the users to quickly and efficiently adapt flooring to their real needs - the Mapefloor System and the Ultratop System.
The Mapefloor System is recommended for floors subject to very heavy traffic and where high resistance to chemicals, easy cleaning, hygienic conditions and large, continuous surfaces with minimal jointing are required - the ideal product for areas such as those requiring hygienic installations, such as food areas.

Olympic performances from Mapei
Mapei's flexible and durable adhesive, Adesilex G19, has been used to install the athletic track in the 'Bird's Nest', Beijing's National Stadium, as well as for the Indoor Stadium track.
These areas are generally recommended to use Systems with seamless flooring.
The Ultratop System is particularly recommended in areas subject to 'normal' traffic where no particular chemical resistance properties are required.
If the chemical resistance of the floor needs to be improved, it is also possible to apply one of the Mapefloor SystemS over Ultratop.
The Mapefloor System range is divided into 10 Systems: System 31 is a solvent-free multi-layered epoxy System for industrial floors from 0.8-1.2mm thick and has an abrasion resistance of 55mg (Taber CS 17) System 32 is a solvent-free multi-layered epoxy System for industrial floors from 3-3.5mm thick with an abrasion resistance of 55mg (Taber CS 17) and a tensile strength of 45N/mm2 System 33 is a solvent-free self-levelling epoxy System for industrial floors from 2-4mm thick, and is ideal for pharmaceutical and chemical processing industries and food hygiene areas.
It has abrasion resistance of 98mg (Taber CS 17) and a flexural strength of 35N/mm System 34 is a solvent-free coloured epoxy paint System for industrial floors which gives the substrate surface dust and oil repellent characteristics, with an abrasion resistance of 98mg (Taber CS 17) System 51 is a solvent-free multi-layered matt epoxy System in water dispersion for industrial floors with an average thickness of 3mm with anon-slip finish.
It has an abrasion resistance of 85mg (Taber CS 17) System 52 is a solvent-free multi-layered matt epoxy System in water dispersion, permeable to vapour, for industrial floors with an average thickness of 5mm with a non-slip finish, with an abrasion resistance of 85mg (Taber CS 17) System 53 is a solvent-free self-levelling matt epoxy System in water dispersion, permeable to vapour, for industrial floors up to an average thickness of 4mm and gives a smooth final surface finish.
It has an abrasion resistance of 105mg (Taber CS 17) System 61 is an epoxy System in water dispersion, for impregnating industrial concrete with quartz, and for protective impregnation of Ultratop.
It leaves a smooth final finish with an abrasion resistance of 105mg (Taber CS 17) System 91 is a trowel applied solvent-free epoxy mortar System for industrial floors from 6-15mm and is ideal for renovating old floors.
It has an abrasion resistance of 90mg (Taber CS 17) and a flexural strength of 30N/mm System PU 65 is a solvent-free transparent aliphatic polyurethane System, permeable to water vapour and extremely resistant to water.
It is for the impregnation of internal and external industrial floors with quartz, and for protective impregnation of Ultratop.
It gives a smooth final surface finish with an abrasion resistance of 30mg (Taber CS 17) The Ultratop System is an ultraquick setting self-levelling mortar based on special hydraulic binders, for abrasion resistant floor coverings at a thickness of 5-40mm.
It is ideally used for the food manufacturing and textile industries and in areas for processing and storage.
Ultratop is available in 6 ready to use colours giving a variety of tones to suit each application.
With MAPECOLOR PASTE the Mapefloor SystemS can be coloured to any pattern or requirement.
The use of MAPECOLOR PASTE in combination with the range of neutral-coloured products on-site offers a wide range of advantages:.
* FLEXIBILITY - a single product, Mapefloor PASTE, to pigment and colour other MAEFLOOR SystemS which can be used to obtain a number of applicative and performance Systems.
* MULTI-USE - different colours can be achieved simply by adding a different colour paste.
* QUALITY - excellent levels of quality and colour stability are achieved, and supplies may be quickly delivered to all areas.
* WIDE RANGE - apart from the 19 base colours, Mapefloor PASTE is also available in other colours from the RAL range in minimum quantities of 25kg.
Mapei's Mapefloor Systems are used with other resin flooring products; such as Mapefloor I300SL, Mapefloor I900, Mapei's QUARTZ and Primers. Request a free brochure from Mapei UK ...
