Mapei and Dobbies - expert green fingers
Mapei products were used throughout the construction of Dobbies Garden World in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
In the summer of 2006 Mapei products were used throughout the construction of Dobbies Garden World in Bletchley, Milton Keynes Hi-Tech Flooring of Bedfordshire supplied and installed over 4000m of Mapei's damp proof membrane, primer, and adhesive, whilst UK Pumping of Romford pumped the levelling compound over the entire area

Mapeproof ESM is a two-component solvent free pure epoxy resin used as a vapour barrier on cement-based substrates with residual or static moisture.
It is a low viscosity product with a high penetration capacity in the porosity of the substrate.
It was ideal due to its absence of solvents, and very low odour, part of Mapei's range of products suitable for domestic or public environments.
After this damp proof membrane, Mapei's MAPEPRIM SP two-component solvent free primer was applied to improve the bonding of the vinyl floor.
A smooth an even surface was provided by Mapei's ULTRAPLAN at 5mm - an ultra fast hardening, water mixed, truly self-levelling and smoothing compound for 1-10mm thickness that was particularly suitable for the excellent resistance to traffic that would be required.
Finally the sales floor area was fitted with Tarkett vinyl using Mapei's new ULTRABOND ECO FIX.
ECO FIX is a solvent-free acrylic based adhesive in water dispersion with permanent tack and practically zero emissions of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds).
