Marshalls natural stone to transform Chepstow
Marshalls plc is supplying a £500,000 order for natural stone paving, steps, walling, tactile paving and bespoke stone masonry for Phase 2 of the landscape transformation of central Chepstow.
The unique paving was first created as a bespoke feature for the multi-million pound King's Waterfront Infrastructure Project, Liverpool.
Developed in conjunction with the project's master planners EDAW, the board styled paving was a key feature to help them to fashion a bar code design that traversed footpath to footpath right along the 1km riverside location.
Since that installation Marshalls has received numerous requests from forward thinking architects seeking to create a new visual dimensions to their paving design and felt this plan size and finish was an ideal product to achieve it.
As well as the cutting edge aesthetical properties Marshalls Conservation Paving Collection also embodies leading sustainable technology.
Utilising 48.3% recycled aggregates during its manufacture Conservation is the environmentally friendly paving with proven long term performance.
Leading schemes throughout the UK have already seen the benefits of both the quality and sustainability in recent years including the landmark Baltic Square approach to Newcastle upon Tyne over the new Gateshead Millennium Bridge.
Marshalls is constantly investing in new technologies to develop product innovations that break new ground and set the standard within the industry.
