By equipping its MT Filtair with four high-efficiency washable filtration cells, Mek-Tek Construction has designed a more compact and cost-effective solution for silo venting applications where dusty powders and granules are being loaded from road tankers.

The MT Filtair's four cell elements deliver the same performance as eight conventional cylindrical elements, allowing Mek-Tek to create a more compact rectangular body design that is better suited to the limited space on top of many new and existing silos.

The unit also reduces air consumption by up to 40% and, because the filters are washable, offers end users substantial savings on both running and replacement costs.

MT Filtair units can be fitted with either sequential controllers or Dp "on demand" controllers to offer a cost effective solution to traditional silo venting during the filling phase without compromising the efficiency and life expectancy of the filter cells.

They are offered with a filter area of 24m2 to satisfy current EPA/HSE recommendations and housed in a body manufactured from heavy gauge, powder-coated mild steel to provide maximum durability in harsh operating environments.

Other features include a bolted flange base that simplifies installation and increases both rigidity and strength; and a lockable, hinged lid that provides quick and easy access for cleaning and "one-man, tool free" maintenance.

Mek-Tek Construction offers a comprehensive range of Reverse Air Jet filters in single unit sizes from 2m2 to 350m2.

Larger units are available on request.

With either cell or bag elements, a range of standard filter units is available from compact bin-venting configurations up to stand-alone dust plants with collection hoppers.

Flexible design and manufacturing techniques also allow bespoke applications to be easily catered for, including a full range of fan assist options.

All Mek-Tek filtration units conform to current COSHH and EPA requirements whilst satisfying current legislation.
