To operate the hedge trimmer, the user must simultaneously depress dual safety switches to operate the tool, and the new model Hs8365S hedge trimmer's "instant stop" blades stop almost immediately (.05 seconds) after the user releases either safety switch.
Other safety features include a hand guard that protects the user from scratches, and full insulation to safeguard the operator from electrical shocks.

The 1-1/8" space between the cutters allows the trimmer to be used for both large and small jobs, and a specially ground 30deg blade angle provides maximum cutting efficiency.
A twig guide helps to lift and guide twigs and branches into the cutting blade, while protecting the blades from cutting close to the ground or other obstacles.

It can handle a maximum twig size of 3/4".

A blade sheath comes standard with the hedge trimmer.
