New Hedge Trimmer from Metabo combines increased user safety with high performance.

Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a new 26" hedge trimmer The model Hs8365S provides a high level of safety while offering precise, efficient cutting

To operate the hedge trimmer, the user must simultaneously depress dual safety switches to operate the tool, and the new model Hs8365S hedge trimmer's "instant stop" blades stop almost immediately (.05 seconds) after the user releases either safety switch.

Other safety features include a hand guard that protects the user from scratches, and full insulation to safeguard the operator from electrical shocks.

The Hs8365S hedge trimmer also includes Metabo's S-automatic safety clutch that protects the motor and gearing from kick back when the user encounters obstacles such as a wire fence or concrete wall.

The new Metabo hedge trimmer provides excellent cutting performance, with double-sided, hardened steel blades that reciprocate in opposite directions while substantially reducing vibration.

The 1-1/8" space between the cutters allows the trimmer to be used for both large and small jobs, and a specially ground 30deg blade angle provides maximum cutting efficiency.

A twig guide helps to lift and guide twigs and branches into the cutting blade, while protecting the blades from cutting close to the ground or other obstacles.

The Hs8365S hedge trimmer has a maximum torque of 53 inch-lbs; operates at 3,200 SPM (strokes per minute); and is rated at 4.4 Amps and 500 input watts.

It can handle a maximum twig size of 3/4".

The tool has an overall length of 32" and weighs 8.5 lbs.

A blade sheath comes standard with the hedge trimmer.
