Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a new drill/driver that offers more power and a faster charge than earlier models The new BSZ 14.4 Cordless Drill/Driver is ideal for drilling, tapping, and driving screws in a wide variety of applications including automotive, industrial, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other general construction applications

The Metabo BSZ 14.4 Cordless Drill/Driver is equipped with 20 torque settings, plus a drill setting with forward and reverse modes.

It has a two-speed gearbox, a keyless 1/2-inch chuck, and an ergonomic, rubber-coated T-handle.

The 14.4 volt motor offers increased power: up to 487 inch lbs.

Its onboard Variospeed electronics allow infinite no-load speeds up to 1,400 rpm.

The BSZ 14.4's quick charge battery is part of a new air-cooled charging system that cools both the battery and the charger during the charging process and offers 30-minute -more- MET-A-9252 charging with up to 2,000 charges per battery.

The tool utilizes three-level planetary gears and a smooth gear change mechanism to extend tool life.

The built-in fan helps keep the motor cool under load.

The Metabo BSZ 14.4 can drill up to 1/2" holes in mild steel and up to 1-3/16" holes in soft wood.

The tool weighs 4.6 pounds with battery and comes with a built-in case that holds two bits.
