Metabo Corporation introduce a new variable speed jig saw that cuts thicker materials and offers greater cutting speed than earlier models.

Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a new variable speed jig saw that cuts thicker materials and offers greater cutting speed than earlier models The STE 135 Plus Jig Saw is ideally suited for cutting a wider range of materials including wood, timber-based materials, light metal and plexiglass

The STE 135 Plus features 5-stage orbital blade motion for maximum cutting speed, efficiency, and extended blade life.

The saw's dial-actuated variable speed control delivers 1,000-3,000 no-load 1" strokes per minute".

"The saw easily cuts thicker materials, including up to 5-1/4" in wood, 1-3/8" in non-ferrous metal and 3/8" in sheet steel.

Featuring a 6.1 Amp motor and 62 inch-lbs.

of torque, the STE 135 Plus comes with Metabo's Vario Constamatic (VC) full-wave electronic speed control, so cutting speed remains nearly constant under load.

The jig saw's grooved needle-bearing roller guides minimize lateral blade movement to increase cutting accuracy.

Positive locks at 15, 30, and 45 on the beveling sole plate make the STE 135 Plus a versatile and accurate cutting tool.

The cooling air for the motor is re-directed through a port to blow the dust away for clear visibility at the cutting line, when not using the vacuum dust collection system.

The STE 135 Plus also features Metabo's "Quick" blade changing system for easy tool-free blade changes.

The new tool weighs only 5.7 lbs.

and comes equipped with a carrying case, an anti-splintering insert, a jig saw blade and an Allen wrench.
