Metabo introduce a new, 4-1/2" economy angle grinder that costs 20 percent less than Metabo's other premium angle grinders.

Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, introduce a new, 4-1/2" economy angle grinder that costs 20 percent less than Metabo's other premium angle grinders The W6-115 weighs only 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg) and, combined with its small diameter grip of 2-3/16", users will find it comfortable and easy to use in many different positions for applications ranging from machinery installation and metal stud construction to maintenance, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, as well as for the light cutting or grinding of concrete

"Significant research and development went into creating the new W6-115, which offers the features and power necessary for grinding to users who just want to get down to business," said Terry Tuerk, product manager of Metabo.

"This new grinder is a cost-effective tool to get the job done, and we expect it to be widely popular because it's lightweight and low-cost, yet performs as a Metabo angle grinder should".

Metabo's new grinder has a 650 Watt, 6 Amp motor and boasts a no-load speed of 11,000 RPM.

Maximum torque for the W6-115 is 16 inch-lbs.

The grinder features a two-position ergonomic side handle, a lock on switch, a user-friendly accessible spindle lock, a low-profile aluminum die cast gear housing and high efficiency cooling vents with front exhaust.
