Portuguese stone sparks new Meadowstone range
Meadowstone has recently launched an exclusive new range of natural stone fire surrounds, crafted from aged Portuguese limestone.
Entitled 'ideas in cast stone', the presentation provides information about the latest changes in legislation, as well as demonstrating how cast stone can be used to create a powerful aesthetic effect on almost any type of residential or commercial building project.
It is the first time that such a training tool has been made available to the construction industry.
Until recently CPD credits could not be attained through online training services, architects had to attend a seminar, however with changes in the way that CPD courses are now assessed, architects can now benefit from the increased flexibility that training via the internet can offer.

Meadowstone's CPD accredited presentation aims to help architects gain a greater understanding of the application of cast stone, as well as demonstrating how the material can be used to provide a dramatic finishing touch to almost any type of building development.
The presentation provides a reference tool that can be accessed at any time.
Available in a CD format, 'ideas in cast stone' is also supported by a dedicated email service, allowing architects to pose specific questions about the use of the building material.
Narrated by Simon Groom, best known for his role presenting the popular childrens television show 'Blue Peter' in the early 1980s, the CD also contains background information on how the material differs from other alternatives available such as natural stone and wet-cast stone as well as showcasing best practice for handling and installing the material on-site.
Barry Stone, Marketing and Sales Director, Meadowstone said: "Meadowstone has provided CPD training programmes for a number of years, but until now architects could only benefit by either taking part in a factory tour, or by attending a hosted training programme.
We recognised that this formula, whilst very successful, was not always practical.
Meadowstone has responded quickly to the changes in training, which ultimately makes life easier for architects.
"We wanted to provide architects across the UK with a single point of reference that offered information in an accessible and consistent way.
By developing the concept of a 'virtual training programme' architects can now benefit from access to information about the industry within a time frame that is convenient for themselves".
The CD presentation can be accessed through Microsoft PowerPoint and upon completion, architects can take part in an interactive quiz, which counts towards CPD commitments.
'Ideas in cast stone' can be ordered directly from Meadowstone, and a preview is available on the company.s website.
