Medway's Phil Roberts comments: "We have been giving seminars for the past 10 years under the banner of Direct Contact Exhibitions, but we felt it was important to become part of the RIBA CPD Seminars Providers Network.
"This not only offers confidence in the content, but having a RIBA approved seminar will also give us credibility with other disciplines such as structural engineers.
"RIBA's representative came in to assess our original seminar and made a number of recommendations which we acted upon such as the inclusion of more technical background and graphical material.
The format is very much educational rather than promotional and we were pleased that it gained approval immediately once the changes were made.
"We believe specifiers will benefit from receiving our presentation because it offers an up to date look at the subject of galvanising, including all the new standards and the environmental impact of the processes.
Most professionals have some understanding of what galvanising involves but there is a lot more it will pay them to know about its effects".
The Medway Galvanising seminar goes on to explain powder coating of galvanised metalwork and explores the synergy between the two processes.
Medway Galvanising has produced a leaflet introducing the seminars entitled 'Long Life Low Maintenance Finishing for Architectural Metalwork'.
On the reverse side of this is a fax-back form enabling interested parties to set out their contact details along with information on the proposed venue's facilities such as the availability of a conference room or a multimedia projector.
