The apartments at Battersea Reach being developed by St George boast balconies or terraces from which residents can see panoramic views, including a vista of the River Thames.

Medway was awarded the contract for the demanding work by Chatsworth Forge on the basis of competitive pricing and the architectural metalwork company's satisfaction with past projects.

Bradley Caplin, a Director of Chatsworth Forge comments: "We have been using Medway Galvanising for seven years or more, ever since the company began supplying polyester powder coating".

"Previously we had to use two suppliers, one for galvanising and another to supply the powder coat finish but the timing between these two applications is crucial to the quality of the finish".

"Now we can rely on Medway to galvanise, fettle and powder coat finish all under one roof with minimum handling and transport".

"This means less damage and a quicker turn around".

The balcony and terrace balustrades, designed by the project architects Broadway Malyan, are fabricated in sections and sent to Medway Galvanising for an 85 micron coat of zinc which conforms to BSENISO 1461: a coating of 60 micron thickness of cured powder in RAL 7022 (a light grey) is subsequently applied.

Following completion of these processes the balconies and terraces are assembled in position by Chatsworth Forge's team of skilled site erectors.
