Designing safe, reliable and low-maintenance self closing gates is a challenge that has been met with the introduction of the latest Mono Hinge Self-Closing Gate from Medway Galvanising.
The model incorporates infinitely adjustable closing speeds for optimum safety, complying to BSEN 1176 for play equipment and all current DDA recommendations, including wheelchair accessibility.
The highly durable, fully enclosed closing mechanism has been tested to over 500,000 cycles, with vandal resistant features adding to its resilience.
Long life corrosion protection through full galvanisation is assured for up to 60 years.
Four of the parks belonging to the London Borough of Barnet have recently gained the coveted Green Flag status following close scrutiny from the scheme's administrators, with disabled access facilitated through the installation of Mono Hinge gates.
A spokesman for Barnet Council's Greenspaces department commented: "Specifying the Mono Hinge gate from Medway Galvanising has assisted us in earning the Green Flag for four of our sites".
"This is because the gates facilitate disabled access as well as being very safe." See them at Stand No H64, IOG SALTEX, Windsor Racecourse, 4-6 September, 2007-07-10.
