Medway Galvanising improved quality of service

Medway Galvanising, a specialist coatings company, has made significant new investments at its plant, resulting in improved quality of service for its customers.

Medway Galvanising, which is based in Sittingbourne, carried out a thorough audit of its processes before embarking on an investment programme which has seen new materials handling facilities installed, along with the most modern galvanising tanks, or 'kettles', available to the industry.

The latter incorporate advanced control technology which facilitates much more accurate regulation of temperature during the galvanising process.

The end result is an even higher quality of galvanised protection for components than Medway Galvanising offered already, along with increased capacity and the ability to turn work around more quickly.

The Marketing Director of Medway Galvanising, Phil Roberts, explains: "We have been upgrading the factory for some time now which has included substantial investment in new materials handling cranes, to speed the throughput".

"Then we have also installed new dipping tanks for the application of the zinc with the most up to date electronic control systems".

"This has a major bearing on the quality and consistency of the galvanised coating".

"As a result, overall quality of service for our customers has been enhanced".

Medway Galvanising routinely collects all sizes and weights of steel components from customers' premises and returns them fully treated within three working days.
