Concrete specialist, Milbury Systems, an Eleco plc company, has appointed a new factory manager to run its 5 3/4 acre concrete production facility at Lydney in Gloucestershire.

Andy Heard, 38, moves from his role of general manager at Milbank Floors, manufacturers of precast concrete products, based in East Anglia.

He joined Milbury in January 2008 and is set to oversee and manage the Lydney concrete works which enables Milbury to supply the majority of its own precast concrete requirements.

"After fifteen years working with Milbank I felt ready for a new challenge and I was very impressed with Milbury's operation here at Lydney", Andy commented.

"As factory manager I will be involved in all aspects of Milbury's concrete production and I will have the opportunity to oversee and plan future developments".

Headquartered in Tickenham, near Bristol, Milbury established its own concrete production facility in January 2003.

Today it employs over 30 people at the Lydney plant, producing around 10,000 concrete units per year which are used in construction projects throughout the country.
