Milbury fire walls to feature in
substations
Specialist concrete company, Milbury Systems, secure three separate contracts to provide walls for substations at Leicester, Merseyside and Bristol.
In a GBP31,000 contract with Morgan Est, the company will supply 24 horizontal prestressed panels and precast concrete columns to form a 9 metre 4 hour fire wall at Enderby Substation in Leicester, as part of Electricity Alliance contracts And as part of local National Grid contracts, Milbury has secured a GBP16,000 contract with Lowbury Construction to supply a 7.3m high, 200mm thick, vertical double loaded, 4 hour rated fire wall, around the existing transformer at Fazackerley Substation in Merseyside
