More Milbury patented Rocket Wall units

A Milbury Systems product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 7, 2008

Milbury Systems secure second contract with Sir Robert McAlpine to install its Rocket Wall units and horizontal panels at a new dockside grain storage building in Avonmouth.

The company completed a similar earlier contract at Avonmouth in 2006.

The GBP190,000 contract will feature Milbury's 4 metre high Rocket Walls which were launched in November 2007 in response to customer demand for a higher unit which makes it possible to store a greater amount of material in the same floor space.

2.4m and 3.0m units are also available.

The patented Rocket Wall units which can be rapidly installed to form storage bunkers and bays are cast from high quality reinforced concrete.

Their inverted Y shape means there is no toe for the loading shovel to hit and prevents the lodging of store material.

As an alternative to the Rocket Wall, Milbury also supplies "L" and "T" shaped precast wall units for use on existing floor slabs and for a more permanent option, the company offers Vertical Cantilever and horizontal prestressed concrete panels which can be used within buildings to form either external walls or division walls and can also be used in the construction of MRF's and waste transfer stations.

Milbury specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of a wide range of concrete applications and has its own precast concrete production plant at Lydney in Gloucestershire.
