Easy to turn with one hand, Fenestrator takes the strain out of opening and closing sash windows, even the largest and heaviest.

It doesn't interfere with the tilt action of PVC-U vertical sliders, and gives easier access to windows that are partially blocked or difficult to reach.

Other diversification products often require lengthy installation training, but Fenestrator is easy to fit - it's a simple, bolt-on procedure with no complicated adjustments.

Because it's retro-fitted, installers can sell Fenestrator to homeowners who want to keep their original sash windows but find them difficult to open.

Ultrashoe is a patented adjustable pivot shoe, which allows the tensioning of the balance in a sash window, without removing the spring.

"Anyone who has installed a sash window knows how difficult and time consuming adjusting the balance can be," comments Mike Derham, Managing Director of Mighton.

"But with Ultrashoe you just open the sash on its pivot, insert the screwdriver, turn until the desired tension is achieved and then close the window".

Mighton's piece de resistance is Powersash, the worlds' first fully integrated powered sash window - for timber and PVC-U.

Built-in, bespoke software enables Powersash to calibrate itself, measuring the size and weight of the window when initially installed.

A special safety feature also prevents fingers from being squashed when the window closes.

It can also lock the window in any position for maximum security.

Because it is integrated into the window and not face-mounted, appearance is hardly affected.

The mechanism requires no modification to existing PVC-U profiles.

With the domestic replacement market for PVC-U windows reaching saturation point, and fabricators and installers looking for new opportunities to make up the missing volume, Ultrashoe, Fenestrator and the Powersash can open up the sash window market.
