McCarthy and Stone, the leading retirement home builder, recently specified Mighton Products sash window hardware for it's newly built retirement home, Imperial Court, in Clacton-on-Sea.

Sash windows are increasingly specified in new developments.

McCarthy and Stone, the leading retirement home builder, reflecting this trend, recently specified Mighton Products sash window hardware for it's newly built retirement home, Imperial Court, in Clacton-on-Sea.

Peter Alderman, Customer Services Manager at McCarthy and Stone, explains the choice: "We had always dealt directly with the window manufacturers before but I needed some specific, high quality hardware".

"So I searched the internet and found Mighton".

"I asked for some samples and when they arrived we installed them".

"We were so impressed that we installed the hardware on the other 300 sashes." Mike Derham, Managing Director of Mighton, says it's something that's happening more often: "Sash windows are often seen as a niche market, but they are becoming more popular in a wide range of developments".

"McCarthy and Stone used our assisted lift balances to help the residents operate the window".

"Old, draughty and rattling sash windows are a thing of the past".

"The modern version of the sash window still retains its classic good looks and with innovative, high quality hardware it lends itself to all types of property.".
