Midas Homes collected three awards at the recent What House awards regarded as the Oscars by the Housebuilding Industry.

Midas Homes won: * Gold - Best Medium Housebuilder

* Gold - Best Starter Home (for Broadclose in Bude, working in partnership with North Cornwall District Council, Guinness Trust and Westcountry Housing Association).

* Bronze - Best Mixed-Use Development (for The Village in St Austell, working in partnership with Westco and Restormel Borough Council).

The awards are now in their 26th year and are organised by Globespan Media Limited, publishers of industry magazine Show House, and consumer website What House.

The judges commented: "...it helps to win an award if your houses look good, and Midas properties look very good.

"Midas offer all the bells and whistles essential to winning Gold in this category, but primarily it produces an outstanding, well-built, well-designed product for the local market it serves".

They added: "When a resident's testimonial at Gun Wharf (Midas Homes' development in Devonport, Plymouth) reads: 'The willingness to get it right is light years ahead of other developers', you have to sit up and take notice, and we have noticed the Midas touch for a number of years now".

Bill Cawse, Managing Director of Midas Homes said: "At Midas Homes we pride ourselves on building quality, new homes and are always trying to think of new ways to make our product stand apart from the rest.

I am delighted that we have been recognised nationally at the What House awards".

Midas Homes is an established housebuilder in the South West and its property portfolio currently includes a range of one, two, three, four and five bedroom properties, from luxury apartments to family homes, new build to refurbishments.

Midas Homes recently won Building Magazine's Housebuilder of the Year Award 2007 and is part of Galliford Try Homes.
