Micon Coatings in association with Timberlife and Letaba Thatchers has been awarded the contract to supply, treat, and fix thatching grass and timber.
Micon Coatings in association with Timberlife and Letaba Thatchers has been awarded the contract to supply, treat, and fix 4200m2 of thatching grass and timber for a new waterfront development in Banjul, The Gambia.
The contract is to supply, treat and fix 4200m2 of pressure impregnated Thatchbor FR fire retarded thatching grass and Flambor treated structural timber poles.
Thatchbor FR is the only type of product and process of its kind in the world and since it's patenting has allowed Micon to become the world leader in fire retardants for thatch roofs.
It is another prestigious project involving world class South African technology to be exported across the globe ensuring against the ravages of fire and biological degradation of cellulose substrates.
