Mitsubishi Energy Centre to offer full service
The Melsec Energy Centre has plans to expand its operations from information and advice to include full energy management programmes in conjunction with Energy Centre Solution Partners.
The Melsec Energy Centre has plans to expand its operations from information and advice to include full energy management programmes in conjunction with Energy Centre Solution Partners.
The Energy Centre was set up three years ago by Mitsubishi Electric, who recognised that energy users need comprehensive advice relating to the many aspects of energy usage, including carbon management, climate change, relevant technology, legislation, best practise, insulation, facilities management, wastage, etc.
"As a technology company we could not provide answers to all the questions we were being asked.
Indeed there was no one offering truly comprehensive advice," explains Alastair Norman, who has just been appointed to the role of Energy Centre Executive Manager.
"So we decided to formally partner with people with expertise in different aspects of energy management and created the Energy Centre.
The objective was to create a one-stop shop that could address any energy related subject.
Having operated as a consultancy or advisory service to date, the Energy Centre is now to expand its offer to embrace long term energy management to achieve significant savings.
Existing Solution Partners, BPX, LC Automation and Pneumatic Lines have also extended their involvement, recognising the value of expanding the current offering for their existing and future customers.
The Energy Centre has now also partnered with Energys, who have many years experience in the design and implementation long-term energy management programmes.
Vince Wells has been appointed as Energy Centre Operations Manager bringing his Energys experience in delivering and sustaining substantial reduced levels of energy consumption.
So now the Energy Centre will conduct audits, surveys, draw up long term or staged energy strategies, oversee the integration of energy solutions (such as industrial control systems, thermal installation, low energy lighting, compressed air systems, and space heating) with the Solution Partners.
The objective will be to develop long term relationships so that energy performance is constantly reassessed and optimised giving real value in ongoing cost savings.
