The latest Sensistor portable gas leak detection system is now available in the UK from Mans International.

This accurate system is the ideal cost-effective solution for water authorities, telephone contractors and those responding to gas leak emergencies Sensistor uses hydrogen as a tracer gas to detect leaks

There are several advantages with using hydrogen.

It is non-poisonous and capable of penetrating leaks more easily than other gases.

It can also permeate through most materials, making it suitable for detecting leaks under concrete and marble floors, roads and pavements.

Sensistor is particularly useful for detecting leaks in water pipes (mains or service pipes), pressurised telephone cable systems, and even pressurised high voltage cables.

Sensistor is easily transportable to deliver results on site within a short period of time, and entirely electronic for minimal maintenance.

The gas used has been given Drinking Water Inspectorate approval and is the ideal alternative to pressure decay methods, or more complex techniques such as correlation.

The system operates by injecting low concentrations of hydrogen into a leaking pipe or cable, then detecting the escaping gas to a precise location.

The hydrogen is in a 5% mixture with Nitrogen and in this dilute state is non-explosive for total operator safety.

Sensistor is available in the UK from Mans International, following an agreement with Sensistor Technologies.

Mans International is a company, based in Calne, Wiltshire, that combines years of industry expertise with competitively priced solutions for projects big and small.
