A new range of cable locators to avoid accidental injury from underground cable and pipeline strikes is now available in the UK from Mans International.

The ARROW Utility Safety Tool, manufactured by SebaKMT, is used by major utility companies and contractors throughout the world and provides fast, accurate ground survey information, at an affordable price for total efficiency.

ARROW is designed to trace cable and pipeline routes to absolute precision.

The operator detects any underground obstruction by simply walking the ground with the ARROW receiver and claiming a clear and safe area for digging.

If any cables or pipes are located, the unit sounds a loud frequency modulated audio tone that increases in intensity as the operator approaches closer to the hazard.

The receiver provides a lightweight, easy, one handed operation in a tough weatherproof design for extended durability out in the field.

Three modes of operation are available to locate mains power cables (at 50 Hz), low RF frequency conductors, and measure cable/pipeline depth through Active A line tracing.

Depth measurements are possible using the 45 degree method.

It can operate as a passive locator, or in combination with the ARROW transmitter for dual passive and active operation.

The ARROW transmitter itself offers a 35 kHz search frequency from a compact, rugged housing that contains all necessary accessories and weighs only 2.5 kg for easy transport.
