One was an interview with Bill Moss of Tesco's new eco store at Cheetham Hill, which opened recently with 11 specially designed Monodraught Windcatcher systems.

Moss said: 'We've cut the carbon footprint down by 70 per cent [compared to] a store that was built in 2006 and there's a real nice feel about the whole store...

the fresh air that comes in makes for a better working environment.

In another featured interview, Richard Parkin, school facilities manager at Wright Robinson Sports College in Manchester, echoed Moss's praise of the Windcatcher system.

He said: 'The ethos of the school is to recycle and the Windcatchers sit in very well.

'There are no energy costs and operationally there's no maintenance.

'There are no moans and groans from air conditioning so there's no disruption to the lessons,' added Parkin.

Also featuring in the film was the Sunpipe installations at the Sainsbury's flagship 'green' store in Dartmouth, as well as at Manchester University.

Postgraduate Justine Hall said: 'Electrical lights are so straining on your eyes.

'If you can work under natural light as much as possible, it's definitely better for everyone's health,' she added.

The movie included commercial Sola-boost and Sola-vent systems and the company's 40-page full-colour schools brochure, highlighting the importance of current legislation and the latest guidelines concerning the building of schools for the future.
