Monodraught's X-Air natural ventilation system
Monodraught has introduced a new generation of natural ventilation systems to its Windcatcher range, designed and manufactured to meet building services industry requirements.
Monodraught has introduced a new generation of natural ventilation systems to its Windcatcher range.
The Windcatcher X-Air natural ventilation system has been introduced by Monodraught
Windcatcher X-Air has been designed, value-engineered and manufactured to meet building services industry requirements of today and the future.
Moulded in recyclable materials with structural and UV stability, Windcatcher X-Air's features include patented LED architectural lighting.
The patented corner design increases performance but also allows excess wind to bypass the system, reducing loading on the unit in high winds.
And each patented corner fin accommodates an architectural lighting feature, which allows a range of optional colour preferences to be specified.
A number of features enable Windcatcher X-Air to deliver significantly improved performance and create a new standard in natural ventilation systems.
These include: Activlouvre modulating aerofoil technology featuring specially designed louvre blades that combine to minimise resistance and maximise airflow; and an internal system that provides significantly smoother internal airflow.
Tony Cull, managing director, Monodraught, says that aerodynamic principles have been applied to every phase of Windcatcher X-Air's development, and commented: "Its design and performance has been wind-tunnel tested and thorough CFD analysis has also been carried out by the Universities of Nottingham and Reading.
He says, adding: "Windcatcher X-Air introduces a lower-cost, technologically advanced system to a natural ventilation portfolio that includes our current Windcatcher Classic system and the Windcatcher Heritage range".
